SW3 battery issues

SW3 battery issues

I went to bed with SW3 battery at 83% and woke up this morning 6h later, to find my crappy watch battery dropped to 2% in energy saving mode. Android Wear is not reliable to be used as an alarm clock. Happily I woke up by myself, without the not ringing alarm. Right now after charging and six hours later, the watch battery shows 91%.

Just with latest updates, Google has dumped the battery check. How can I see which process killed the battery? Phone is in flight mode during sleep.

Regards,

W.

Re: SW3 battery issues

First, thanks for your answer.

I've reset, updated and set up this watch about five or six times since I've bought it eleven days ago. Does neither run fine with Iphone, nor Android.

Syncing issues with no connection to the phone (remember, flight mode) and WLAN switched off seems impossible to me, I don't know how this affects battery life? I've never seen Google updates on sunday. And there are lots of during the week.

Google and Sony are playing beta games with it's customers, thats it. Sorry, I'm angry.

Re: SW3 battery issues

Most probably it was a syncing session, a lot of apps (including Android Wear itself) have been updated lately and these changes are reflected to your watch via syncing. Of course we can't make sure as they removed the battery consumption option as you said, but I noticed some overheating and drainage of battery yesterday that was resolved without restarts.

Keep monitoring battery life for more few days, if it happens again you can refresh your watch performance by resetting it and recoupling with your phone.

@wolli_d

This will be a Google/Android wear issue, remember that Google push the update, not Sony, did you received a lot of notifications at night?
