anywhere to download old PC Companion ?? pls thx :-s

Seems my 2012 Sony Xperia Ion LT28i no longer has support, updates, pc use software updates of Media Go or Pc Companion. O messed up my Pc Companion which was working, by trying newer Xperia Companion. I uninstalled all, rebooted, reinstalled, but Xperia Companion never sees my smartphone when connected to pc. So uninstalled, rebooted, tried reinstall from cell of former Pc Companion but seems that downlaod link is disabled as it says sorry unable try later. Could you please email me a link if any, where I could download old Pc Companion from pls and thx ?? :-s

Later edit : I wanted to do new backup of entire cell system and installed apps media contacts etc to pc as additional backup in addition to being able to use cell backup all to it's sdcard, in case sdcard lost or unuseable later. I also copied all to folder in win7 pc. Might that work if needed ??

I found PC Companion finally by changing net search from Sony PC Companion to adding word download. Got it from big well known source of old and new apps. Sees cell now again. My next question... when I try it's backup to pc function, it scans then says will not to protect me from detected unknown source installed installed files. I checked em all of and it backed em up to sdcard. But it says unsafe for pc so action denied. Is there way to get it to proceed with backup or would that require uninstalling all 3rd party unknown source apps downloaded from Google Playstore ??

Re: anywhere to download old PC Companion ?? pls thx :-s

Hi @Cam_Gibb, I'm afraid that I don't have a link to the program since it has reached end of support and is no longer available on our website.

I remember when I tried running it two years ago, I had to install an update to do it, but since the software is not available, I was not able to download the update.

Why the device does not show up in Xperia Companion is because the program does not support the Xperia Ion, which has reached it's end of support.

I hope this post explain things a bit further, and that it may not be enough even if you get a download link to the program.
