Yes you can flash the original Sony's firmware BUT most custom ROMs require that you unlock the bootloader, if you do so your DRM keys will be gone forever, you can not restore them

it`s possible to backup all data from a Xperia V to rebuild the original. Ask Google
The Cyanogenmod 4.4 is nightly and very experimental. Last bug I´ve seen is no WPA / WPA2 for 2.4-WLAN and camera dos´t find the storage
I`ll still waiting for 4.3 and hope, that Sony spend also 4.4. :smileysmileywink:

you can relock the boot loader and repair the phone either with SUS or PCC.

IMHO a petition should be raised for something related to mid to long term issues.
As we all know, 4.3 should be released any moment now.
If you want to do a petition, it makes much more sense to do it for 4.4 , which is not yet certain.
