How to get a screenshot with Sony Xperia Go/Advance?

Hi all,

I have a sony xperia go / advance (same phone) and for the life of me I can't figure out how to take a screenshot without having to download an app that requires me to root my phone. In another forum I noticed that with the Xperia S all you have to do is hold the Power+ button down for three to four seconds and it works for that model phone. I tried it on my Xperia go for the heck of it and it didn't work. Can anyone shed some light, offer advice etc. I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks.

Well I figured it out. You have to hold down the power button and the volume down button.
