Poll needed for the next xperia flagship

Hello Everybody

What do you think of a poll for the features in the next xperia phone. What do you think Uli, Luv2bugu, Slim, fellow bloggers,(some) gorgeous mods... Smiling Face with open mouth & closed Eyes

Please mods let us have a poll for the things we would like to see in the next xperia.

Let us have an opinion.

Kindest Regards,

Re: Poll needed for the next xperia phone

Make me a list of 5-6 things that you want to see in the poll first, then we'll let some people respond here, and we'll make it happen!

Re: Poll needed for the next xperia phone

1) HD front facing camera (and of course not less than 12mp for the back camera)

2) Carbon fiber body

3) 5in screen HD side to side (w/o thick ugly bars around it or at least make them ultra thin)

4) Quad Core processor

5) 1.5GB of RAM

6) this is HUGE SE should commit to support the phone for 2 years or longer, not just "up to" but a REAL COMMITMENT, so we, users, know that if we buy a SE product it will last for more than a year, and it won't be a maybe

7) Gorilla Glass or Dragontrail

8) OLED or Super AMOLED

9) I think this will make a lot of customers happy

Don't add nor delete any app, in other words don't add other apps that aren't part of Android, BUT make them available on the Android Market to be downloaded later on if the user wants to, same goes for the keyboard, widgets, homescreen, gallery, sound recorder, camera, etc

10) Camera stop compressing the image, it's not ok to have such a low bitrate nor overcompressed pictures

WMC%KU@U34L[1LOYNYV[IML.jpg

11) global phone, if apple can do it, SE can do it better, none of that a & i and cdma versions.

12) software updates available to ALL PHONES at the SAME TIME, not just nordic countries first then couple of months later the rest of the world but the Americas and then 3-4months later it hits America. We all payed for the same phone, we should all get the updates at the same time w/o having to debrand or flash the phone

13) a Global Warranty, Martha said this http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/129364#129364 "One of the biggest reasons there is no global warranty is that not every phone is released worldwide, so we don't want someone to get an Xperia active (in this case), bring it to Australia, and then realize no one in Australia can fix the uni"

this doesn't sound right since SE doesn't have a repair center on each country they sale their products, shipping globaly has gotten quite cheap and shouldn't be a problem to send the phone to a repair center to a near by country that has a repair center

http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/127737#127737

Issues to be solve ASAP

After few software updates, Sony Ericsson added "new features" BUT they haven't fixed others

1) ambient light sensor

http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/125881#125881

2) fb updates on the phonebook (I use it sometimes, I want to have the option)

http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/125277#125277

http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/125276#125276

3) Housing Crack

http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/84435#84435

4) the Launcher stops responding when you open many apps or heavy apps like Maps, and some games

http://talk.sonyericsson.com/thread/21753

http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/123777#123777

5) OVER COMPRESSED PICTURES UGH, THIS REALLY BOTHERS ME, THEY ADDED FEATURES TO THE CAMERA BUT FAILED TO FIX THIS ISSUE

http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/72838#72838

but Sony provides the same sensor to the icrap and they take full advantage of it and take amazing pictures and videos

Re: Poll needed for the next xperia phone

Okay ... so I got a PM for this

"

1 - ONE update for all unlocked phones, no i and a versions.  one phone that works every where that way i dont have to wait tell May to wait for that phone.

2 - gorilla glass. and FRAMELESS

3 - conductive charging

4- Screen alittle smaller than 4.3 but bigger than 3.3

5 - triple processor should not be an option since its no brainer

6 - 2 GB RAM for the love of god

7 -camera lense as good as the iphone

Re: Poll needed for the next xperia phone

Here are the features I would like to see. Looong ListSmiling Face with open mouth & closed Eyes

Hardware

1. Fast Dual-Core @ > 1.8 GHz but should not suck battery dry. Some efficient throttling mechanism should be available. Look at dual core A5 @800 MHz, it beats the Android camp in most benchmarks, SW also matters.

2. Great graphics, something to rival the SGX543MP2 of the Apple A5.
3. An FF camera, cheaper Neo have it why not arc.
4. NFC
5. HD Screen.
6. Improved Camera
7. Gorilla glass
8. 1.5 GB RAM, 4 GB ROM

Design

1. Bigger screen in a body around the same size of the arc, which means lesser bezel width and edge to edge display.
2. No buttons, of course camera, volume and power keys are needed. Since the power button is going to be the single most widely used thing it should be accessible easily and also conformal with the body to avoid false trigger and look cool.

3. Thinness around the same as the arc or maybe slightly thinner.
4. Similar design like the arc with some updates.
5. That chrome around the phone could be replaced with metal. Better plastics all around.
6. Move the audio jack to the top. I cannot insert the phone in the pouch because the jack is on the side.
7. A stylish SE logo in the back is very nice, bigger than current one on the arc. Adds some class.
8. LED indicator is in the same position probably extends to the front but not like in the acro. Does not look good in the acro, too old school.

Multimedia
1. Walkman Quality sound
2. Cybershot quality imaging.
3. Volume keys can change the track, so that there is no need to power on, navigate to music app, change to next track, then power off screen, in short  Walkman behavior.

4. Galaxy Nexus type camera speed.
5. a lot of the time is spent on the Music Player so why not make it excellent.

Packaging
1. Experience Edition : Bundled premium headsets, Live dock, Liveview, additional games, additional SW.
2. Standard Edition: Regular headset .

Market Support
1. More Apps and Games in Sony Ericsson section of the Market

DON'Ts
1. Do not add non-removable storage
2. Do not add non-removable battery
3. Do not remove indicator LED
4. Do not add micro SIM.
5. Don't add stupid bumps like droid razr.
6. Do not move the power button to the side like the SII, it gets trigerred for no reason.

We need to always keep in mind that this is for a 2012 product, other manufacturers are not sitting still. Currently other OEMs are already offering  these things on the market. SE is yet to release a rival product.

With these feautures I am buying tomorrow!!

Re: Poll needed for the next xperia phone

I actually am getting impatient to hear which SoC goes inside the the new xperia. If it is something ridiculous it has to be ridculously cheap too so that I can use the phone as backup to my primary uber smart phone. Of course the primary phone will be the coolest on the market after MWC
