Re: BlueBorne

After an email I sent to Sony support I did receive an answer saying that they are aware and that protective patches have been provided and that we will get them. Unforunately they did not give me a date, though.

Re: BlueBorne

unfortunately that answer does not say anything, rather it seems an automatic answer without a solution.

Re: BlueBorne

Sure, but you can still pressure since they "reassure" you you will get it. If I don't get an update in 2 days, I will continue pressuring until I get an update or a decent answer with an ETA.

Re: BlueBorne

According to the Blueborne Scanner 1.05, Xperia XA is safe. Previous versions of the scanner marked the same device unsafe... No updates to the device received in between, unless something was done OTA silently, without any notifications whatsoever. Or smth wrong with the scanner software... Who knows.

Re: BlueBorne

How about my Xperia ZL? (yes ZL ... still running smoothly! ;-)  ).

Although this is not the most recent phone I expect it to be safe! I understand that I can not expect the most recent android anymore (however that would be more than nice!! ) ... but I expect that Sony takes this enormous risk seriously for ALL SONY XPERIA OWNERS! ... Sony remember, to get a customer back after loosing a him/her is something more difficult than keeping the customer. I ones moved away from Samsung because they did not update Android on a Tablet anymore, as they promised, I never bought Samsung anymore .... this was 8 years ago! Same can happen with Sony .... remember also that we have so many different cell phone manufacturers to choose from that we easily can go to the competition!!!!
