Android 8.0 Oreo AOSP Released

Now that the source for 8.0 has just released on ASOP, will we be able to use the files to trying building it for ourselves? Or would the current files in Sony's Open Devices project all be incompatable with it?

Re: Android 8.0 Oreo AOSP Released

Thanks. Having it build and then boot is the biggest part, then the fun comes with getting everything to work.

Can I ask though if there will be a focus on having older kernel versions (eg 3.10) to work on Oreo at some point? Or is that not possible due to changes in Android, or are you just wanting to focus on newer devices first?

Re: Android 8.0 Oreo AOSP Released

Thanks again for the response. Hopefully then the kernel can be worked on a bit to be more compatable with older devices, because as it stands it's rather unstab.le on devices such as the F5121.
