I suspect you already checked it but also make sure that the internal storage is not starting to get full (you should have a notification about it if that's the case).
But if that's not the cause i'm afraid i don't have any other suggestion than to take a backup and then perform a repair of the phones software.

The only thing that helped was a wipe. Did a backup before and now everything works again. Probably better anyway after an update.

If you have tried the suggestions in this thread and still have the issue i recommend that you also take a backup and then perform a repair of the phones software. In some cases, a reset may be needed after a system update.

I just had the same issue.
This is how I solved the problem. Go to settings and then look for the "123 Setup guide" feature. On step number five (accounts) you have to enable the "Automatically Sync" on your accounts. I switched that on and voila.

Go to Settings -> Accounts.
Tap the 3 dots on the upper right corner and it will present only one option "Activate auto-sync". Tap it and voilá.
