Re: Xperia Z5 Premium - 25fps video recording

Do you know who Tesla is and what is the frequency?

I was asking what?

You seem to be confusing voltage currents with video recording which is bizarre.

However I will add your concern to the escalation.

Re: Xperia Z5 Premium - 25fps video recording

Is there an offical answer from Sony about this question?

I have the exact same problem with my Sony Experia Z5C. I bought this mobile phone because it has good camera features. I did not even think a second about checking if this option is integrated before buying. Sony is a reknown camera manufacturer. Didn´t the tech specialists (with global knowledge) had a look over the specs !?!

In the past I had an Iphone 4S and 5S and they supported 25 fps/50 fps. At least with a 3rd party app.

Is there fundamental hardware support for 25 fps/50fps in any sony mobile phones?

As far as I can see, this problem is ignored by Sony Mobile, so my decision will be -> This is the first and last Sony Camera Phone.

Re: Xperia Z5 Premium - 25fps video recording

I am also looking desperately for a phone that records 25 or 24 fps in order to edit seamelessly with pal footage from dslr, mirrorless and archive.  Have you found any other alternatives...

Re: Xperia Z5 Premium - 25fps video recording

It's been my gripe for years now, I have asked countless times in various forums why smartphone cameras are only ntsc, and I have yet to find an answer from the developers.

People (public) defending the fact seem to always come up with the same old answers, that ntsc and pal are irelivant with digital video, so tell me this.. Why does the Xperia1 give two shooting modes in it's cinema pro app, one being 23.96fps, the other being 29.97fps, these odd numbered framerates were created for analog video as a compromise with the black and white 30fps video standards in America for adding additional colour space to the signal when colour tv was introduced, so why are we seeing 29.97fps in the digital markets, and if theres a reason for this (to keep American's happy?) then why cant we have a PAL 25fps standard for virtually the rest of the world?

If you buy digital camcorders and cameras in PAL countries, they all have the PAL standard built into them, some are fixed for PAL only, while many can be switched between PAL and NTSC

I have a Sony RX10 and live in a PAL country, this camera can be switched to NTSC mode, but when in NTSC mode, I get a warning message reminding me that i'm shooting in NTSC mode in a PAL country, because this RX10 was made for PAL reigions just as other RX10's are made for NTSC reigions. So if Sony warn me on the RX10 that i'm shooting in the wrong frame rate for the county the camera was marketed for, then why are their Smartphones NOT warning me that the framerate is wrong? why are Sony (and ALL other smartphone manufactureres) selling NTSC phones in 50Hz PAL countries that need 25p or 50p frame rates?

It can't be to do with one model fits all, because i have learned that there are variants of the same models between countries, such as the Samsung S10, uses different processor if you buy an American model.

It seems that Smartphone video cameras are the only types restricted to the NTSC frame rates, I just want to know why from the Developers.
