Oh, that is really "unfortunate". I believed that Sony offered a 1 year limited worldwide warranty....
We pay a steep price for the phone here, but the law grant us 5 year "warranty" for "all" consumer electronics.

Will let you know how it goes (probably receive the phone on Tuesday)

Thanks mate.. I really think that this can be solved through software update since if the touch screen itself has a problem then it will not respond at all with any touch.. As the screen is also sensitive when wet.

I hope this can be fixed since xperia SP has also the same problem.

I have exactly the same issue. I think the the problem is more common when the phone is warmed up when using it. I have random problems with scrolling selecting, etc. When I reset my phone with the power button and the volume up button it will work fine for a while.

Touchscreen issue

Since I bought the Z1 is experimenting some issues in the the touchscreen and I'm afraid it is repeating progressively.

Are there any telstra users here that are experiencing the problem after updating to .259?

 

Someone tipped me an info that by flashing the FTF of telstra .259 had fixed his problem with the crappy touch.

Guy's ur phones are faulty i got to a store and checked two Z1 for 20 minutes!!!! They was perfect!! Just got a change you can or sell it!!! Many people went to sony and they got nothing... Just sell this crap!

I can no longer replace my crappy z1. Option is to sell but who will buy this crap? 4.3 accidentally leaked for ZU owners. This is the last hope for this problem

I submitted my phone to local service center and as expected they came back after 5 min with a  reply stating that nothing is wrong with the phone and they even showed the diagnostic test and the service test by using the touch screen. As I know how they respond I was well prepared I took video of my phone when I was experiencing the problem ( 5 videos in total-diagnostic test and the service test). Finally they agreed to replace the phone. I have other problem along with this touch issue ( yellow hue , proximity sensor issue and black screen.
