active sync problems / syncing only first time

Hello!

 

I have a Xperia Z3 and everything works fine, except the Active Sync with my one.com account.

 

The syncronization only works the first time directy after setting up the account. I can be shure, there is no problem with password or server adress because it syncs (even if it only works once)...

The next time i try to get new e-Mails the mail app says something like "no connection to the server." (Thats not the original error message, but its translated from the german error message)

 

My first attempt was to change the sync interval and tried from push to 10 minutes everything. Did not work.

I then deleted the account and established it again. Did not work.

 

The little syncing symbol next to the selection box always stays grey and does not move.

 

Does anyone have the same problem and/or can help me?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

 

It's not an issue i'm familiar with. I was going to check one.com to see what type of server they use but there it says that their ActiveSync support is currently in beta (http://www.one.com/de/support/guides-faq#exchange) so it may not be fully functional. Have you been in contact with them regarding this?

What you can try is to download another client which may use another version of the Exchange ActiveSync protocol and see if that helps. You can for example try Moxier or RoadSync.

Thank you for your fast reply!

 

I already tried to contact one.com but they first asked if the xperia z3 is an android device and then said i should change my password...

 

But thanks to your hints, i searched in the market for some apps for exchange and found "nine". Works perfect and looks very nice.

Hard to say what's wrong here as i haven't seen the issue before. But as it says that their ActiveSync support is in beta and i haven't seen the issue before i would suspect there are issues with the server and that it will work also with our client in the future.

Hi Rickard,

I have the same problem for exchange activesync. Just got Z3 three days ago. My Z3 only downloaded the emails from server in the first time and could not update for new emails.

I've tried to delete and set up the email account for many times, even restore my z3 to the origional setting.

 

And I've tried to changed the mail server from "oulook.office365.com" to "m.outlook.com", but it still did not work.

 

Do you have any suggestions?

Do you get any error message when you try to sync the 2:nd time?

If you have a very large number of emails in your account, make sure that you don't select the option to sync all emails when setting up the account.
