I haven't installed latest firmware G.2.257 because is not currently available in Italy,
but i'm experiencing problems with SD card.
I have a Lexar SD card 16 GB that work correctly on my previous Xperia Arc.
On Z1 I'm experiencing a lot of LOST files (in LOST.DIR) at every Z1 startup.
Yesterday I used PC companion to se If a firmware update was available,
than I went to the mp3 folder on my SD card and I see a lot for filenames corrupted.
I delete this corrupted files and than I see that LOST.DIR was plenty of about 200 files.
I delete also LOST.DIR content.
After I restarted the phone, it take long on startup as always...
I connected the phone via USB and LOST.DIR now contains about 250 files!
How to solve this problem?
Will be fixed on latest firmware release?
When will be available on Italy?

It seems that your SD card its acting up, you should reformat your SD card, don't forget to backup its contents

I have reformatted via internal phone procedure the sd card and I have installed the new firmware (G.2.257).
For now no problems with SD card (with about 1000 mp3 and 500 photos).
Now phone startup is really fast.

I used a 64GB SD Class 10.
Mine was corrupting files every few hours.
I tried it many times. Reformatted exFAT.
I reinstalled Xperia Z1 operating system (4.2.2).
I inserted a small card, old 2GB SD.
I hope it does not corrupt.
I will let you know.
I also do not appreciate the guessing on here.
This seems to be a real issue with the hardware.
i have read a few forums and want to hear from developers or hardware manufacturers.

I have seen other threads on other forums where people spent $100 on SD cards before giving up.
I think it is a Xperia issue, but that is a guess.
Is there no customer support on this?
Hope so soon.

Hello, today I had the same problem. I have touch problems and to solve them I did a factory reset with the SUS software. Huge mistake. This appears to have messed up my phone to a state MUCH WORSE than before. Touch issues have multiplied immensely, phone unusable for playing games now. Today I received a message saying my SD card was removed, then I restarted and saw it doesn't show the files from it. It also doesn't start up immediately after I press the wake up button. Now it takes 4-5 presses and a few seconds before unlocking. Ridiculous.
EDIT: Restarting the phone and removing and inserting the SD card does not work. The phone just doesn't register it in any way. Why is this happening x_x
