Some applications have stopped working after upgrading to (Android 4.4.4)

where it appears to me the phrase "unfortunately, has stepped"

For example, an application (Realplayer)

I always like to perform a system repair not a factory reset after an update/upgrade as i find it fixes and eliminates any issues

You could try to reinstall the app,maybe it was a simple compatibility issue.If not,as Thommo suggested,perform a software repair.
