Battery drains too quikly on new Z3 dual

Hi all,

I just bought z3 dual and just moved from windows to android. I am pretty new to android os and I am honestly liking it a alot.

However, I am really disappointed by the battery performance of z3. The phone is running android lolipop the latest.

The battery drains from 100% to 20% in just 2 hours!!!!!!!! This is totally abnormal and I am searching for solutions from past 2 days, hope that I get help here.

I tried trouble shooting tips from xperia website.

Turned off every connectivity, activated various battery boosting features. Deleted unwanted apps, restarted several times and here I am with total failure and disappointed with my decision to buy such expensive phone.

Please can any one help me?

Last resort will be to visit a store but its too far, honesty.

It has been suggested to repair the phone with Sony PC Companion

Sony PC Companion.

@harm3sh

On your phone

settings > power management > battery > check the top 4 items on the list > tap on each and check the amount of time and % of the battery they used

or take screenshots (press and hold power & volume down at the same time)

and post the links here

also make sure to post a screenshot of the graph.

Re: Battery drains too quikly on new Z3 dual

I don't see anything wrong with it, it seems that you are syncing too many apps, are you using any of the following

antivirus

taskillers

battery apps

booster apps

sweepers

are you syncing facebook, email accounts, music streaming, etc ?

also perhaps you are auto backing up photos, or auto updating apps?

Re: Battery drains too quikly on new Z3 dual

Woah woah.. Calm down. I am really a noob for this OS and I am struggling. I don't have any off those apps. Except a preinstalled antivirus.

I may be syncing accounts. How to I bar them?

I have facebook, twitter. And two email accounts and instagram.

Not too many apps so auto update is stopped
Backing photos is stopped.

These shooters, I've tried already?

Anything else? Shall I do what Phy says and use pc companion?

that is 20% in 2 hours, not 100 to 20 in 2 hours.

anyway it is still considerable fast if you are doing nothing. maybe remove the avg.

Re: Battery drains too quikly on new Z3 dual

Removing avg wouldn't help,  avg is automatically installed in every z3 device and if it would cause a problem everyone would complain and drain everyone's battery fast. However my z3 without doing anything except calls can take upto a week with the normal stamina mode on and wifi always on.
