Ok so I really think the best thing you can do is run a software repair/factory reset on your phone.  You need to make sure your contacts are either synced with Google or are backed up to your SD card along with any other data that you don't wish to lose.

Do you have PC Companion installed on your PC?  Or Sony Update Service is available to download from this link Update service - Sony Smartphones (UK) both programmes will say your phone is up to date (most likely) but you need to select Repair option.

Let us know if that resolves the issue.
