As the title states, I have a Sony Xperia XA2 bought off the internet (second-hand) in Romania that won't allow me to unlock its bootloader. I can use it with any SIM (currently Orange Romania) so it is not locked to O2.
Rooting status is: Bootloader unlock allowed: No

Unfortunately you'll find that a lot of network branded handsets (even if flashed to non branded firmware) have a permanently locked bootloader.

So there would be a chance to have an unlocked bootloader if I change the firmware and debrand the phone?

No, unfortunately the bootloader is in a separate partition from the firmware partition.
Your bootloader cannot be unlocked.

See this thread for further information.
It may be possible to get the unlock allowed by means of contacting Local support
Upon further investigation it would seem that it is 99.9% likely you won't get it unlocked.
Sony has locked the bootloader at the request of O2 UK and from what I can see, no one on O2 has had theirs unlocked historically.

Seen the thread before, but I didn't find any real solution in there. I think the olny option left is to sell my XA2 and buy another one with unlocked bootloader
