Problems building AOSP for D6603...

Hello,

I have been following the steps, and cannot get it to build.

On the step:

source build/envsetup.sh && lunch

I select the d6603 (option 17)

then run the make and get:

including ./vendor/sony/leo/proprietary/Android.mk ...
build/core/base_rules.mk:154: *** vendor/sony/leo/proprietary: MODULE.TARGET.EXECUTABLES.sensors already defined by vendor/.fr-TL1Leu/vendor/sony/leo/proprietary. Stop.

Ay suggestions?

Thanks,

John

Re: Problems building AOSP for D6603...

Have you tried building it with root privileges?

I got the same error and building it with sudo fixed it for me ...

Re: Problems building AOSP for D6603...

OK, I figured that one out, I removed that weird hidden directory ".fr-TL1Leu", but noe get:

make: stat: vendor/sony/shinano2/proprietary/vendor/lib/egl/eglsubAndroid.so: Permission denied
make: *** No rule to make target `vendor/sony/shinano2/proprietary/vendor/lib/egl/eglsubAndroid.so', needed by `out/target/product/leo/obj/lib/eglsubAndroid.so'. Stop.
make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

#### make failed to build some targets (03:37 (mm:ss)) ####

Thanks

Have you checked XDA as that would be the best place to ask these type of questions

Are you sure?  This AOSP version and build instructions are by Sony, posted on this site with instructions on how to build it.

Re: Problems building AOSP for D6603...

Look on XDA developers fella, lots of guides and tutorials on building ROMs. Also plenty of people to ask questions if your having problems.

Thank you, osiris.  No, I had not tried that, but just did and it worked!  See folks, this was the right forum after all ;-)

Re: Problems building AOSP for D6603...

if you don't want to build as root just sudo chmod -R 777 vendor/sony
Your error is caused by insufficient permissions of the vendor blobs Winking Face
