Hello, just my first time to try this out.
pls let me know if my understanding is correct based on your instruction.
my phone is xperia mini st15i 4.1.B.0.587
- download flastool
- download 4.1.A.0.562 kernel then flash
- download rooting tool then run (root)
- download 4.1.B.0.587 kernel then flash again
is this correct?

i noticed that the link for mini is pointing to this file -> ST18i_4.1.A.0.562_kernel
are ST18i and ST15i have compatible kernels?
i can't see any .562 kernel specific for mini either.. i found GB 4.0.2.A.0.62 on other sites.. is this compatible for rooting as well?

rainybhoy As i said on the top in my guide
All has been tested so don't ask if it would work or not.
This post is for 2011 Xperias. For 2012 Xperia See 1.
But still, i'll reply to you
Just follow the steps blindly and you would get nothing but a rooted phone. We flash 4.1.a.0.562 kernel just for rooting and in the end flash the original kernel meant for the device

ok, just followed the steps blindly... but after successful flash... my phone won't boot...waited for 5mins, nothing,,,,, removed batt... then tried opening phone again, still no luck... im pretty sure the flashing is a success based from the message.
Plan B pls..

Buddy , screen would remain back. All you need to see is if the led or capacitive buttons are lighting up ?
If they are lighting up then just run the rooting toolkit
2013-02-13 07:12 PM
i cant run the rooting toolkit, the phone cannot be detected.. i've already done installing adb drivers.. any way to repeat the process?
2013-02-13 07:14 PM
Didn't you mark Usb debugging and MSC mode ?
Yeah, flash 4.1.B.0.587 kernel for your phone or just reinstall the software on your phone using SUS or PCC
2013-02-13 07:20 PM
yes, i've checked usb debugging and msc mode before proceeding w/ the flash... my prob now is, the phone cannot even detected by PCC...
2013-02-13 07:23 PM
rainybhoy Mahn you scaring me . PCC is buggy though.
Take the battery out and reinsert it. Then do not switch it on, just run SUS and follow on scren instrcution
And yeah, do not connect your phone until you're asked to do so by SUS
