Re: {GUIDE} Install ICS ( Ice Cream Sandwich) as well as root Arc S , Ray and Neo V ( Downgrade to Gingerbread)

HAHAHAHAHA Smiling Face with open mouth & closed Eyes

Ok ok and two last (stupid) questions (for now anyways): If I use "everything" Xperia S it will look just like right? Dizzy Face (Love the weather widget)

And what's the best root tool for GB 2.3.4? I'm only used the ICS doomLord root tool and it's basically plug and start!

Just everything

Icons , homescreen , calendar , music player ( with clear bass) , weather widget, time scape, ( almost everything Winking Face )

You cannot root 4.0.2.a.0.62,, so downgrade to 4.0.2.0.a.42 or .58

Here is the method to Root

Re: {GUIDE} Install ICS ( Ice Cream Sandwich) as well as root Arc S , Ray and Neo V ( Downgrade to Gingerbread)

Hi

I have ARC S… before I was contemplating about maybe going back to GB, thought maybe will play with it for a while and then go back to old 2.3.4… anyways won’t get into long posts (as I tend to), but the overall experience is much smoother (it’s like driving  with hand-brake on and the suddenly letting it go - ha…)

I’m still missing some improvements especially shorten dialer load times, but otherwise all is good… home launcher still reloads occasionally for 2-3 sec (what do you expect after quitting some heavy duty progs) but it’s much smoother…

Most games are out – but I can live with that…

Wi-Fi works super, reception is strong, mail works, IM+ works, camera works Oki, etc. etc… Winking Face

PS. I wish we could use Player from XPERIA S on ICS, but unfortunately there are some issues, maybe somebody will make it work - especially the equalizer...

Re: {GUIDE} Install ICS ( Ice Cream Sandwich) as well as root Arc S , Ray and Neo V ( Downgrade to Gingerbread)

Well I'm not saying that I'm not going to use ICS. Maybe the Portuguese version that hasn't came out will work better than the nordic one that I've flashed! Maybe they're all the same, I don't know! But I'm tired of constant reebootings, lags, the text message board disapearing (where you actually write the text), dialler taking ages to open, contacts laging to open, and so on. If I can have a stable system with the Xperia S looks I will use it for now. And hopefuly (I really am hoping) my oficial version will work for me!

EDIT: The only thing that is worrying my right now it's not being able to root! Root rocks!

Re: {GUIDE} Install ICS ( Ice Cream Sandwich) as well as root Arc S , Ray and Neo V ( Downgrade to Gingerbread)

Have you marked """Don't keep activities""" in developer options or have set "background process limit"

If yes then undo the same, most probably home launcher reloads won't take place Slightly smiling Face

Re: {GUIDE} Install ICS ( Ice Cream Sandwich) as well as root Arc S , Ray and Neo V ( Downgrade to Gingerbread)

Hi - no I don't have any of the options checked in Developer... in fact if I would check Don't keep Activities - everything stops working normally... before running SUS, launcher was reloading longer, (I have 5 folders with programs) in these folders the icons were re-loaded slower then Widgets and stand-alone icons, especially progs that are kept on SD... so it was gradual reloading... now with Apex when I quit any heavy duty Program it loads in few sec the whole screen.  It's not big deal as I understand that if I run Browser with few tags it will take some resorces and will need to re-load launcher... but it is much smoother now and faster...

If I run any other none-memory hungry app there is almost no-relods of HL...

PS. Did any of you noticed in YouTube app when playing vid and scrolling up/down - left/right - super lag? Something is wrong with this app...
