Re: {GUIDE} Install ICS as well as root Arc S , Ray and Neo V

@drrummer . Don't even think about it.

ICS was never released for Z2 and you just can't install any other phone's software on your Z2.

NOPE

Re: {GUIDE} Install ICS as well as root Arc S , Ray and Neo V

Many thanks for the feedback.

It seems odd that this can't be done.  After all, the Z2 is the same hardware as the Z and S.  You would think that the software would work across devices.

Thanks anyway.

Re: {GUIDE} Install ICS as well as root Arc S , Ray and Neo V

Friend, Z2 is a completely different hardware from Z and there's almost no relation between the Z2 and Xperia S, except that it's Sony.

I must tell you one thing. There are two type of Xperia Z ultra phones. One is Google Play edition ( GPE) ( that google sells with it's on stock software) and the other is normal version that Sony sells with it's UI.

Now if you try to install the Google's stock software on normal Sony's Z ultra, ( or vice a versa) you would brick ( dead and unusable)  the phone and it would become useless.

Now see, both are exactly the same hardware but still you can't flash the software of Z ultra on the other.

Now imagine you wanna flash ICS of Xperia S on your Z2. Dayum.

Re: {GUIDE} How to Install Jelly Bean , ICS ( Ice Cream Sandwich) and Gingerbread on Xperia™ Smartph

Hello. I'm trying to flash my Neo V back to original Gingerbread since ICS is making it very slow. I read the OP of this thread and based on it I downloaded both the original .42 and .62 Gingerbread FTF files. I am giving here the log of FlashTool (v 0.9.19.10 as can be seen in the log). It is giving error at loader.sin. I have included the FlashTool internal log and also the console transcript separately:
