I am trying to build 8.1 for xa2 (h4113) following the steps in https://developer.sony.com/develop/open-devices/guides/aosp-build-instructions/build-aosp-nougat-8-1...
$ java -version
openjdk version "1.8.0_45-internal"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_45-internal-b14)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.45-b02, mixed mode)
repo init -u https://android.googlesource.com/platform/manifest -b android-8.1.0_r15
git checkout android-8.1.0_r15
Which would you like? [aosp_arm-eng] aosp_h4113-eng
make -j 8
./device/sony/common/Android.mk:8: error: hardware/qcom/msm8998/Android.mk: No such file or directory
08:30:18 ckati failed with: exit status 1
#### failed to build some targets (49 seconds) ####
Indeed, the folderhardware/qcom/msm8998 does not exist, but as xa2 is not built on msm8998, this might be normal.
But in device/sony/common/Android.mk, line 7 :
Is this normal, shouldnt'it be :
When changing ifneq to ifeq, the build does complete till successfully (but recovery.img is not built)
The following images were flashed on the device :
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
fastboot flash oem SW_binaries_for_Xperia_Android_126.96.36.199_r1_v11_nile.img
However, the device does not boot as the system server keeps crashing see https://pastebin.com/raw/NL1V3TxM
Any clue ?
