Every time I hook my phone up to my computer, my ringtone changes to the first song in my playlist instead of the mp3 I want. This is not exactly desirable. I think it has something to do with the "disabling"of the SD card while connected to the computer, but I don't know for sure. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

settings>applications> manage applications> all> live wire manager > clear data
see if it helps

Sadly that didn't work. It randomly changes to either a song on my playlist or back to a system ringtone. I haven't been able to figure out if there's a pattern to it. I thought maybe if I moved the song I want from SD to phonememory, but I can't figure out how to do that, either. I was using a file browser and tried to copy but I didn't have writing permission so that didn't work.

then i would now suggest you to do a factory data reset
backup everything as it will erase all
settings> privacy> factory reset
see how it goes

That seems to be a drastic and cumbersome "solution". I'd have to reinstall everything and there's no guarantees, either. Is this really a unique problem? Would there be a setting that deals with SD-card connections (why does it disconnect as soon as you plug your phone into your computer, anyway? Is that standard behavior? Often it won't remember my where I was in my music playlist, either)?
