Hello guys. This sensor is vey annoying to me.I really want an option to stop it.I fould an app in the market but it requires to root my phone and I don't want to.Do you have any other kind of solutions to disable the Light Sensor ? If not,but you want, let's make few more discussions about it and hope an option for disabling or enabling the sensor in the incoming ICS update :smileyhappy:

Re: Xperia Neo Light Sensor

brightness won't change if you set it to min or max :smileyhappy:

thats the only thing you can do without rooting :smileyhappy:

( other option - paint the sensor :smileylaugh: :smileylaugh: )

Re: Xperia Neo Light Sensor

You guys are getting it wrong!!!! :smileyhappy:

I u cover the light sensor(with tape :smileysilly:)
then the phone will think that u r in a low lighting conditions and

then it will reduce the screen brightness to the least level :smileyplain:

i recommend u to use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hatcyl.android.Disable_Auto_Brightness&feature=sea...

(note: Root required)

Re: Xperia Neo Light Sensor

nopes nopes nopes buddy,
if you cover the light sensor, its value would be set to 0

now set the brightness to the desired value and it won't flicker anymore as ambient sensor's value would remain constant :smileywink:
