When I click on the Whatsapp icon a message appears stating that the date on the phone is incorrect and I am asked to adapt the date and try again. Furthermore the message mentions the date indicated by the phone, the date mentioned is actually the correct date!
In the settings menu the date, time and timezone are on automatic and are all correct.

I had the same problem. Like the man says, uninstalling Whatsapp and then reinstalling solved the problem lickety split. Also, let it update via Google Play if you haven't set it on automatic update--there was a new update available last night.

Go to settings>apps>all>whatsapp and clear old data & cache & Then uninstall the old one. Download from play store & Install. it should start working. I had this problem on my Ion and now working!

Hi can anybody assist with Whatsapp on my new Sony Experia phone.
I have de-installed the old version and re-installed the new version and it is still giving me the message that the date is wrong and it is correct.
Please let me know.
