a week passed and still no reply from here. The reason why I'm so concerned about the housing crack issue because I'm about to buy an arc s 3 days from now. and when i search google for some new crack issue i stumbled upon this. the video was uploaded by helldancer85 on MARCH 16, 2012. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QamRCEZMlZ8
here are some of his photos about the housing crack too.
is there still no escaping this issue? I just want to know if there are any reports of housing cracks from the philippines. with the budget i have i can say that arc s is the best phone out there. but this is really bothering me.

I got it repaired free of cost once but the housing has cracked again. From the same place. I contacted sony support in India and they told me that they can repair it for free. I will talk to them once again regarding the same issue. You can go to a consumer forum and file a legal case against them as its a serious flaw in the material they use. I dont recommend this shitty phone to anyone.

where do u live in India? i m in New Delhi and the Nehru Place service centre i visited simply refused to repair the phone. you are lucky at least they serviced your phone at least once free of cost . the casing of the phone has got serious flaws. even Xperia Arc has got the same issues and Sony did nothing in terms of improvising on the flaws that the original arc had .. i.r, cracks on panel of the phone
moreover, the service centre of Sony which is 3rd party outsourced ( India ) is really bad. IMO, if Sony wants to touch base with its existing consumers then they should not outsource the after sales service to 3rd party as i feel they dont live up to Sony's standards!!
