Make sure you backup everything

Settings -> privacy -> Back up my data and Automatic restore should be selected

and also

Use one of these links to download the

How to install it

You need to

go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources

https://market.android.com/details?id=org.openintents.filemanager&feature=search_result

on your computer
-> download the file -> go to your gmail -> click on contacts -> click on more actions -> on the drop down menu click on "import" -> choose the file -> and click import

Re: Xperia Arc S Update 4.0.2.C.0.5 (LT18i/a)

let me make it simpler

download the apk on your computer, send it to yourself through email, make sure you send it to your Gmail

now on your phone

go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources

wait for the email, once  you get the email, open it, and instead of downloading the attachment it will allow you to install it, voila, done

Re: Xperia Arc S Update 4.0.2.C.0.5 (LT18i/a)

Hi there,

Thank you for this post!  I'm in the UK and have just bought a French Arc S.  Although it has the English language option, several icons still have the French names and I also have plenty of France-only apps installed.

Can you tell me if I can use this as the latest firmware to flash my Arc S and turn it into a generic UK model?

Thank you again :smileyhappy:

Yes, yes you can, but why don't you install the LATEST firmware instead of this one?

Xperia Arc LT15i/a & LT18i/a 2.3.4  4.0.2.A.0.62
