Re: Check out my home screen!

Hi rec,

Thx for the link. :smileyhappy:

Well i only experience launcher redraws after playing Asphalt 6 HD for atleast 2hrs+/-. And the redraw time is not more than 1-2 seconds. So i can deal with this time :smileyhappy:.

I am on Stock rom 0.58/Kernel:0.283/BB: 58. Is that ok for the "V6 supercharger"?

Re: Check out my home screen!

Use this method (zergrush)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1320350

Download, run it.  Done.

Then you should install the special recovery console which allows you to backup all your system files and data to your SD card.  You can do this easily using an app from the Market:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437840

Once ClockwordMod Recovery is installed, reboot into it (instructions in the thread) and backup.

Then, if anything goes wrong, you can restore everything.

You should also download the Root Explorer app from the Market - it can be used to install mods.

Then you need to decide what you want to install.  Once you've installed all of the above how about starting simple - like a mod to add power options in the status bar - like this:

There are plenty to choose from.  Choose one you like and PM me and I'll give you step-by-step instructions.  It will simply replace one system file (SystemUI.apk) which you can do with Root Explorer but you need to make sure the file permissions are correct - once you know how to set the permissions it's actually easy.

Re: Check out my home screen!

Actually you may need a special USB driver installed first.  I already had one from my previous device(s).

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1333779

If the driver isn't installed then the zergrush app won't work.

Re: Check out my home screen!

Once you have the ADB driver you can install it on Windows via Device Manager.

http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html#Win7

Unzip the Arc ADB drivers to your Desktop first.  I didn't do this for my Arc S though - I had an ADB driver installed for my old HTC Desire - I guess these drivers are generic.

Also, make sure 'USB Debugging' is enabled in the Applications -> Development menu.  That throws a lot of people.

Re: Check out my home screen!

thanks for the detailed guide :smileyhappy:

and auni i just want to root first and remove bloatware , i will give your themes a try afterwards ok :smileyhappy:

so rec - i extracted the device drivers.. and in going in device manager and under portable devices when i select xperia arc's update driver it says the latest driver is already installed..

i'll try to run the zegrush anyway..

Then you should install the special recovery console which allows you to backup all your system files and data to your SD card.  You can do this easily using an app from the Market:

i can use titanium backup pro for backing up all the system files also..right..?? if i do i dont need that clockword recovery right..??
