So this is the info I got.

They curve for dimming the light is dynamic.

If you have a high brightness it will dim very slow and it is perhaps harder to verify. If you have brightness at around 50% it was easier to spot. For me at least. Then also if you have brightness set to 100% the auto-dimming will be disabled.

I also tried it out and it works as in my description.

No idea. We (SEAnswers team) don't get this info and it's mostly not official anyway (what new updates will hold that is).

What we can do is however to forward feedback as a request/wish for change.

I've done that now. Let's play the waiting game. smile happy

I have the same problem. I tried a test service and it is ok.

But when you download an application that uses a light sensor (luxmeter), it is a problem. He writes that the phone has no light sensor. : (

I know, it doesn't work with my Arc (LT15a) there are some users that say it does work but well I haven't seen the ambient light sensor working w/ my phone

luxmeter apps is not good..see its rating..it always show 0 and no sensor...
