My 2 week old mini pro died two days ago for no reason; I did nothing but turn the phone off for the night. My phone wasn't responding to anything at all. Then I found your step by step instructions. It worked for my phone! You totally saved it!! Thank you so much!
The only thing that I want to add for anyone trying this is to hold the button for as long as it takes for the computer to detect the phone. I got discouraged a couple of times when the computer didn't find the phone right away but finally I got stubborn and held it for about 5 minutes when finally it was found by the computer. I'm so glad my phone is back!

My X10 Mini started to behave funny last week, turning off automatically, getting stuck, losing signal...the phone is only 2 week old!! It worked perfect for only 10 days...
First it seemed the problem was solved with the PC Companion 'repair' tool, then the issues came up again. I have then tried different updates both via companion and Software Repair but afetr each udopate/repair the phone would only work properly for a few minutes bofore starting to behave funny again!
At the moment I am not even able to turn on the phone in any way - nor do Companion or SR recognise my phone for the udpate, despite keeping the required button pressed for over 10 minutes...
Any suggestion before I take it to a Sony Assistance Center?

Hi, first of all, make sure the battery is charged or able to charge, battery is not faulty (spare battery?) and USB cable is not faulty (spare USB cable?). If you are not able to confirm those mentioned, would suggest to send it to the local SE Service Centre.

thanks for your answer. The integrated battery was ok, so was the USB cable. I have left it at my local SE Service Centre...I hope they can fix it or replace it.

Only 2 weeks later my X10 mini replacement has DIED while under charge and it won't turn on!!!
This is ridicuolous..it cannot be bad luck again, I believe there are serious problems with this phone.
Please instruct me on how ot get my money back or I will never buy anything else from Sony in my life.

Hello everybody i try to unlock bootloader on my x10 mini pro with this video tutrial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RorGuBkl7pw i follow steps and when phone restart after unlocking is not turning on the battery is full and phone not running again please help its possible to be a hardware problem?
