Hi ya everyone,
I'm new to these andriod phones, just got myself the Sony Experia S. So far not very impressed, battery life is poor and can't seem to set up individual ringtones for different contacts like I used to do with my old Blackberry. Can't work out the Office stuff to creat a simple document.
Any suggestions ?

you can use Handcent SMS
to set individual ringtones
and ringdroid to create your own ringtones

You can't Edit your Docs with OfficeSuite5 you need to update and it seems to be a trail version, you can use Google Docs instead

Battery life is poor due to a software bug that Sony needs to fix asap. While most modern Android phones will not have the battery life of your old Blackberry, the battery life of the Xperia S is quite bad. If this is a problem either get a different phone or wait for Sony to fix it.
You can in fact set up individual ringtones without any third party tools. When you edit the contact details it is right there. You need to scroll down a bit to see the option.
The office suite Sony included is a viewer only. The upgrade to the paid version is not expensive.
In the Play Store you can find several office suites with which you can create and edit MS Office documents. Google Docs is free, but when you start editing a document, it feels more like an old web app than a modern smartphone app.
The user interfaces of the paid office suites are quite different, but there are free trial versions available. These paid office apps usually work better with MS Office files than Google Docs. So there is probably a solution which suits your needs.
