Boot in a recovery mode

i think my phone is bricked.. All i get is a blank black screen after sony logo when i turn on the phone.. How do you turn on mobile in a recovery mode? Mine is single sim C1905

Try booting into safe mode. Switch off your phone and switch it on. When the screen with SONY logo appears, start tapping the menu button intermittently, and your phone will boot into safe mode. There will be a watermark at the lower end of the screen saying 'Safe mode'. All third party apps will be disabled in safe mode. You can uninstall any recently installed app at Settings--Apps--All apps--choose the app--Uninstall.

It will be printscreen when i hold on/off and volume down. Why?
