Re: Xperia Ion introduction

Hi everyone! Unfortunately I cant watch the video (I am at work shhhhhhh...) but if I remember correctly from another read it will probably be released at 2Q.

Given the experience I have with AT&T until they put in all the bloatware, spyware, etc, "test it" and so on , it will probably arrive at my nearest store around August. Until we ll get ICS it will be October/November. So the way I see it I will be using my crippled X10 for a while. It s a love/hate relationship which I can live with (I think).

I like the specs, which although are 2011 fruit for most of the companies and it s a good and above all needed step. I wish the Xperia S would come to US instead with the 4.3 in (?) display but without that &*# clear/crystal/plastic/whatever that part is.

Now an irrelevant to the product question but I would really appreciate it, if someone has any answer...

Is Android development anywhere close to release an OS that will support external hardware? Like Apple does (and I think NOKIA) for example, where you can connect a MIDI device or microphones or Credit Card readers etc?

And last one... does anyone know if I can keep my old "Unlimited" data plan with AT&T if I get a 4G phone?

Have a beautiful day everyone!

Re: Xperia Ion introduction

yeah, as long as you don't buy the phone through a new contract, in other words you will have to pay full price if you want to keep the good old unlimited plan

Re: Xperia Ion introduction

:smileysilly: I actually like the Xperia S more than the Xperia Ion, but the lack of LTE on the S well, it's a no brainer which phone I should get

both have decent PPI, the iCrap4S has 330PPI and this phones having such massive screens they have 319PPI and 342PPI that's really good

Update: In fact, that see-through strip acts as the antenna, which you can just about see if you get up-close and personal, with micro-fine dots riddling the strip.
