i'm planning to buy xperia mini, and i know it comes with android 2.3 (gingerbread).
is there built-in hebrew support on this device? to what extent?
after purchasing this device, can i upgrade it to android 4 or 3?
thanks a lot,

The phone does not support Hebrew as phone language but it does support it as writing language.
So, in other words you cannot get the menus in Hebrew but you can type and read messages in Hebrew.
Phone language: Swedish
Writing language: Hebrew

thnkas a lot, markus.
another question regarding this:
will this state change when android 4 (ice-cream sandwich) is available for this phone?
i.e. - will it be possible to use hebrew as a phone language?
by the way - when is this upgrade planned to be available for xperia mini?

I don't know if Android ICS will come with new languages or not. I guess we have to wait and see to be sure.
The update is planned to become available from end April/early May for this phone model.

Is this also true for the Xperia Pro MK16i?
Can I purchase this phone in America, have the phone language as English. But view msgs written in Hebrew? I hear reports that sometimes hebrew sms messages come as blocks instead of letters.
