On one day (two weeks ago) I found my phone become really hot and its battery dropped to only about 1x%, I rebooted the phone immediately but the battery was still drained completely shortly after.
After that day the battery keeps draining very quickly no matter what I have done:
- lowering the display brightness
- turning off Wifi
- disabling data traffic
- turning on flight mode
- disabling auto-sync
- calibrating the battery
- formatting the SD card
- even doing a factory reset / repair / upgrade in PCC
I am really desperated and have tried to use a different battery that I seldom use, but still it doesn't help - the battery still drains quickly.
There is something strange about the battery: it discharges very quickly but when the battery dropped to 1%, it can last for quite a long time (up to several hours, depending on my usage).
There is also a problem with the celluar network - sometimes it is difficult to establish a 3G connection after I re-enable the data traffic; the "H" sign in the notification bar doesn't appear and when I try to search for the network provided, nothing shows up or there are error telling me my SIM card doesn't allow me to connect to the network or there is a error when searching for networks.
Is there anything else that I can do? There is still a month till my warranty expires, should I directly take my phone to do a repair instead?

The 1% in battery can last for a long time
Battery drains very quickly even I leave it idle when I am sleeping

indeed its really bad ,
go to settings > wireless nd networks > mobile networks > network mode > gsm only..
try this , you wont be able to use 3g in this but try and notice the battery..
also , charge your phone to a 100% , emove the battery for 15 minutes , re-insert it , and agin charge...

slim, switching to gsm helps to people who have poor battery life and they want to increase it

hey, may i know what these numbers are at the top left corner of the screen ??
some battery saver app monitoring your batter?? if yes then just uninstall it right away

And yes, it is a battery monitor app called "Badass Battery", I will try to uninstall it and see if that helps too

no dont just buy a new battery....
battery is not faulty , i doubt it....
try this \/
update your phone with this..
this is an official sony software so don't worry..
and if it says your phone is up-to-date click on install anyway..
this will delete all the phone's data so backup all your files first..
how to backup..!!
download any one of the file on your computer . ( if you download this directly on your phone , it will be easy , if not then download on your computer )
after downloading it , follow these steps

if this does not helps , go to a service centre nearby and ask them to give you a spare battery for a day or two.. but try updating first..

You should not have to buy a new one.
Since you write that you've already tried to factory reset and repair the software I suggest you go back to the store with the phone and see what they say about it. They might lend you a different battery/charger so you can confirm if the problem lies with the phone, battery or even charger.
