Hi, I would like to know if pc companion can recognise phone with a locked bootloader. My xperia ray has an unlocked bootloader but pc companion is able to recognise it. I am also now not able to root my phone or relock the bootloader. The rooting process finishes but there is no superuser app. Also how do I flash Cyanogenmod , I get assert failed status 7 error. How can I fix this?

I can't remember PCC can recognize or not. But I know we can relock the bootloader. Bcoz I did it before. If the rooting wasn't success, try in different user account. I got a problem like you. Then I used separate UA & then it's ok. In Cyanogenmod pages in XDA have full guide for it. Everything is there.
Relock bootloader & try root. Most probably it'll work.
Then unlock BL again.
flash CM9/10.. .zip & gapps .zip

PCC can recognize the Xperia device as it is even after unlok/relock bootloader. All the things working like before. But if you are trying to update your phone software or repair it, then the PCC will abort th installation and say " The phone has modified software " when unlocked. Then you cannot use SUS or PCC for any software update or repair. PCC can recognize and do all with locked bootloader. Unlock>> do any thing>>relock>>get updates>>unlock
And also for root, flash the 4.0.3 kernel and root, then again flash 4.0.4 kernel. It's the method. Nabeel described it somewhere..
