Android Market

Hiiii,

After i inserted new SD card on my X10mini, i cant download anything from Android market.

If i click install a messege appears

"Download was unsuccessful.please try again"

 

Note that i can dwnld files from gmail

    Strange problem!!!

    Swithoff your phone and remove the SD card and reinsert it. After this check android market. Is your phones internal memory full?

      i  reinserted card. but same problem occurs.        i have 100mb internal and 6gb external free space

        Can you explain the problem in detail. Step by step. Messages shown etc.

          It may be because the new update of the market.... Mine is showing to be downloading a app which already finish installing.. After i restart my X10 still shows the same

          I had 2Gb external memory. So i bought a 8Gb sdcard & insert it

          after that i have this problem

           

           

           

          Steps ex:

           

          1. On wifi

          2. tap "market"

          3. application

          4. ATK

          5. install

          6. ok

          7. message appears

                                        "your item will be downloaded"

          8. after 3 sec message appears in notification bar

                                         "Download was unsuccessful. please try again"

            Hmmm, just to clarify.... if you put your old memory card back in does the market work?

             

            Did you format your new memory card on the phone before trying to install apps on to it.

             

            All of the steps indicated look fine to me, I can't think of anything else at the moment.

    yay yay! got my Market working. i've uninstalled the updates in settings for Market app n now its working as before. and also APPBRAIN seems to be an alternative for Market

        ya man! its simple wat i did. since Market wasn't working since its recent update i've opened the app in the settings and uninstalled the updates. here it goes step by step.

         

        Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Market>Uninstall Updates

         

        Later i've switched off the mobile and switched on and it was working.

        I dnt know whether this is correct or not, but its working

          Oh, so ot was the update that was causing the problem. Good that you have figured it out.

          After i uninstalled updates of Android market its working well

              That is useful info cos I've seen some questions asked elsewhere about it.  I will suggest they try that.  Thanks for the feedback, that's why I love forums!

               

              Edit... just looked on my phone to see if I can reproduce it but there is nothing on there to say uninstall updates in the Menu>Settings>Manage Apps>Market.  How strange.  Do you have an X10 large or mini?  I wonder if its a different build number or something or am I looking at the wrong place?

                mine is X10 mini and in some regions Market updates automatically without notice. so if ur Market was updated you'll get 'uninstall updates'. then u can uninstall them and use as normal.
